RV’s new winter home

We moved the RV today.  There a guy here in Cabot named Mitch, who plows the driveway here and he said we could park it on his land for free.  Stephanie and I were discussing how and when we were going to do it, when an acquaintance of Mitch’s stopped by to remind us of Mitch’s offer and to say that this would be a good day to do it.  And sure enough, it was warm, about 34˚F, and not raining of snowing, while it was to start raining later tonight and then get arctic-cold.

So Olivia strapped into the passenger’s seat and Audrey and Errol strapped in to the table seats and off we went with Stephanie following us.  The RV starts right up and runs great, even on 5 year old gas.

I drove it up the little hill there and then backed it into it’s place.  Later Steph and I went back and put the cover on.  I also disconnected the battery, just to make sure.  It was getting cold and I had to remove about 3 inches of snow that fell before Christmas, but we got it all done.

What a difference, from being parked under the trees in the corner of Woodbury to being prominently displayed on the main road into Cabot.

It sure beats driving it to Hardwick and paying to park it there!
