Pathfinder’s Front End
I made an appointment to get the front end aligned at Dona’s Car Store. Errol and I took it over and went to the Grand Union while we waited. When I got back it wasn’t in the alignment bay, but in the shop on a floor jack. Bear came out and told me that both inner tie-rod ends were loose and it was pointless to align it in this state. Bear quoted $250 – $300 to repair and align it.
I took it home, as it is our only working car. I called Bond and the parts are $12 each. I could do the work myself, but it sure would suck.
Boy, our only working car. I’ve had to put a tie-down strap on the tire carrier because the latch hooks are stiff and wont latch. Stephanie is concerned about a thumping rattle underneath, but I think it’s been there all along.
Poor car. I wish the Volvo worked. Next up is moving the Volvo and getting the van running.
