I went to the Dentist again today.  Soon after he did #2, I found #3 to start hurting.  Well, he looked and said #3 was just fine.

I said that if that’s the case, then just pick another cavity at random and fill that one.  He said he liked #17, there was a hole in the lower left wisodom tooth.  So he went to town on that one.

Again I refused novocaine.  I really don’t like needles and I find that the pain of the injection is worse than the drilling itself.  For the most part the drilling doesn’t hurt unless the dentist is pressing straight into the tooth.  And today was the same, only once with the high-speed did it even start to hurt and at that point he said he was switching to the low-speed.  And only once did it even remotely hurt.  The hole he gouged in my cheek with the mirror hurt far more than the drilling!

So instead of going in and having the dentist pick a hole at random I made an appointment with the hygenist department to have them take some pictures (X-rays) and do a survey to come up with a comprehensive plan of attack.

I spent more time with their financial aid officer than I did with the dentist.
