Busy Day 2
Went to Norwich immediately after dropping the girls off at school. Worked there for five hours. I replaced the Sullivan and Theater DVDs and reprogrammed the Theater controller. I also checked the projector, it acted OK while I was there. I relit the exhibit space and tweaked some other lights. and I stopped by the media department only to find that a shot was missing form their video and they have to re-export the whole thing.
In the evening I worked for the TV station. There is a little boy, like not even two, who got e.coli poisoning and is in the ICU at Fletcher Allen. Cassie M. and friends put together a fundraiser for them with the help of the Varsity Girl’s Basketball team. So it was a ball game, but with 18 Hazen Alums playing against the Varsity team. It was moms versus daughters. It was a hilariously fun game. At half-time the score was 35-11, and when the second quarter started the score was 11-35! Even with that ‘turnabout’ the Varsity Girls came back to win the game 59-58. They raised $2500 in ticket sales and the 50-50 give-back, but the concessions also donated their take and there was a bucket at the door. All told it was $3800 just there. Wow.
