Not really.

At about 6:45 I went down to Hall’s Market to get some bread.  Just like the other day, I see a cop party camped out there!  I immediately suspect that someone held up Hall’s Market and I get the feeling that I am Bad News!

When I got out of the Pathfinder I smelled Burning Wire smell, but couldn’t identify where it was coming from.

All was well in Hall’s and I overheard the cashiers discussing that the Hardwick Police Department had arrested someone across the street.

When I went back out to the car, I was determined to find the source of that smell.  I sniffed around the Pathfinder, but it wasn’t me, so I started sniffing the HPD vehicle.  Sure enough it was coming from the passengers side of the engine compartment.

I leaned up agains the Pathfinder to wait for the police to tell them about the smell, but they took a long time, so I went home.

Later that night I was out driving and came across two HPD in the Bond’s Auto Parts lot.  So I pulled in next to them to tell them about the smell.

One of the officers knows me from the TV station, so I tell them that I was sniffing around their SUV when it was at Hall’s.  They both look at each other and go, ‘Ahh’ (It’s all clear to us now).  The other officer says, “You live in Montpelier!”  I replied that I don’t, I live in Hardwick, but that I have a mailing address there, and how did you know anyway?  They tell me that someone called 911 to report that someone was trying to steal the HPD vehicle, they reported the Pathfinder’s plate number and it came back to me in Montpelier!
