Goin’ to Shatney’s
So I tossed the pair of Volvo rims with the worn summer tires into the van this morning and Steph and Errol and I drove over to Woodbury for our car appointment. We drove the Volvo in first and Wendell got started welding the exhaust pipe while Steph and I talked with Judy about Moe Lilley’s recent passing. It was quite a fitting capper to moderate Town Meeting just three weeks ago. Later that night I added a 10 second memorial to the Woodbury Town Meeting DVD export; I had to redo it anyway because it was pointlessly over compressed.
When the Volvo was ready we headed to the office while they got to work on the van.
When Steph called is a couple of hours they told her that nothing was actually wrong with the van, it was that the lug nuts were loose! Steph remarked that I was worried yesterday about the dentist and today it was the van but in both cases the answer was simple.
In the evening I went to the TV station and started the Leightronix installation. I moved the network gear, swapped the component shelves, mounted the audio leveller, lowered the Maestrovision and installed the Nexus hardware (4 RU of space). It took me almost as long to get the Maestrovision working again!
