Dartmouth / Everett – Day 1

The start of a three day stint at Dartmouth.  After years of saying I’ll stay there, I will actually stay at Brenda’s place in Woodstock.  And she’s been having trouble downloading her camera, so I’ll help her straighten that out.

Today’s call time was 11 AM.  After getting the girls of to school, I got ready to leave myself.  Steph sent along a food bag with a bunch of carrots, the new turkey and cheese we got at the Price Chopper last night and some apples.  That was just what I needed for lunch today.  The only thing missing was some mustard.  The Dartmouth students are off for Christmas break and so the food service cafeteria is closed, which means I couldn’t get any mustard from them.

It sucks being broke.  I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee today.  I called Fairpoint and pledged every cent we had let to them to keep out phone from getting cut off today.  But at 5:30 I checked the bank account and found that Bank of America tried to charge me $180, which I didn’t have, but my credit union was happy to hit me with a $25 fee that I also don’t have.  So now I am all depressed because I don’t know if the Fairpoint payment will be approved and I don’t know if BoA will keep hitting my account. What I do know is that the credit union will be happy to charge me $25 each time!  I don’t get how they think I can afford $25 when I don’t have any money…

I had thought I had it all arranged down to the penny, but I forgot all about Bank of America, those bastards.

Anyway.  This show is just a tech, there is no actual show, so I didn’t need my show-blacks, and I don’t have to worry about neatness of cable runs, and I can leave the lens boxes up on the balcony rail.

We are using the new Christie projector, which I can control from my computer via ethernet.  That is too cool.

Well, we have about 15 minutes left.  I am going to get on the road and call home.
