I was there! High Output emailed me before the end of the week after the last show. The campaigns finally realized that there was an election coming and maybe they should think about that… High Output asked me to do Elizabeth Warren, as their main guys were working on Rmoney’s Election Night HQ. It was […]
Last night I drove down to Boston in order to be on the edge of Hurricane Sandy. Heh. After the Hop’s 50th, High Output called me asking if I can switch a show for them in Boston today and tomorrow. They put me up in a hotel for two nights. Today I set up the […]
I bought my third $500 Volvo 850 on Sunday, a 1994, and drove it home today. I reactivated the old DGF plates. We still have the DPY plates, and if I had thought of it I could have put the DPY plates on the Pathfinder and the DGF plates on the old 850. Since 2001, […]
This week I was at Dartmouth. I stayed with friends in the area almost all week. I had a hotel room for two nights. This was an interesting show. For all the denigration puppetry usually gets from less refined stagehands, the Handspring Puppet Company from South Africa are truly amazing. From the first day of […]
What a busy day. I got an email from Norwich that their projector was still not working. I had the afternoon available and I was able to get there at 4 PM. I did all the standard field tests and after three restarts it finally did what the museum staff was seeing. I immediately took […]
Not really. At about 6:45 I went down to Hall’s Market to get some bread. Just like the other day, I see a cop party camped out there! I immediately suspect that someone held up Hall’s Market and I get the feeling that I am Bad News! When I got out of the Pathfinder I […]
So I had a lot of errands to run today. As I was heading to the Union Bank in Hardwick but I decided to stop in at NorthEast Service to switch to the Pathfinder first. It has it’s windshield replaced and was inspected, so it was ready to drive. I was standing there with George, […]
Today was the third of three Annual Mount Washington trips. This was the first one starting in Hardwick. Our neighbor Janette wondered why I was herding the kids into the car at 5 AM, just two weeks after we moved in. She wondered if I was taking the kids and leaving Stephanie, but she decided […]
Last week I was down at Dartmouth working some projection gig with Tim M. He mentioned a music festival on Aug. 4. I negotiated a rate and hired Finn as second. I rounded up three still cameras, too. This show was on the second night of the three day Tweed River Music Festival in Stockbridge, VT. The […]
Wow, was that stressful. We moved from Cabot to Hardwick this week. It was pretty hard. We had thought that we could start moving July 21, just a van-load at a time, but that became July 28. And finally Emily wasn’t ready, so we couldn’t move anything until July 30! Two days! I went over […]
I slept a lot today. I was so tired from yesterday. Then I headed back down to Dartmouth. My call time was 8 PM, I got there early and set up. We had 1/2 to get it all ready. They had a salsa band playing the last set, everyone was dancing. And when they announced […]
Dartmouth is doing a two-day outdoor festival this weekend. My call time was 9 AM. Bear and I built a three-section scaffold out on the Dartmouth Green and loaded a 10K Christie projector onto it. The Hop has bought another switcher/scalar in a little road case and a couple 16:9 monitors, and a blu-ray player. […]
I had the most amazing dream last night! It went on and on and was really detailed. I woke up and thought about it for a while trying to remember it – and then I moved and it all evaporated. I can’t remember any of it now…
I went to caulk the roof of the RV but it was already too hot. I got out the ladder and worked on the side. I caulked the windows on the passenger side and what I could reach on the roof. Errol helped. He had a great time. I really haven’t seen him in two days.
We are preparing to move – in three weeks.
I went to Dartmouth for the first time in months. I had a projection call and it was really easy. Only a four hour call, but it was nice to be back there again. Jeremy, Tim, Tom and whatshisname. I added a bunch of minutes to the Local 919 website and sent out invitations to […]
