Finally got going on my Big Trip east. Slowly, methodically packed the camper. Got going at 12:15 pm. It takes some getting used to high speed highway driving, heck of a time keeping my speed steady. But the AZ and NM scenery was magnificent. After a wrong turn at the first road to the El Malpais National Monument I found the correct turn and ended up at a sweet free BLM campground. It was a chilly night but the little heater in the camper kept us warm even though it was 3o deg. Now its time to get going on Day 2!
