Back onto I40 to Tucumcari and up my favorite Hwy, 54, a ribbon of a road with lots of big rigs. Turns out there are major meat processing plants along there. After driving to the city park, No Man’s Land twice, and past the 2 RV parks, one nice one with someone there (but expensive for my needs) and the other with no one answering the door, I ended up there after a phone call to the number posted on the house. It’s mostly and semi-permanent RV park with folks who work at the pork processing plant. I ended up just pulling in an figuring out who to pay my $11 to later. Once I found the correct door to the bathroom everything was fine. The highway noise was loud along with some agricultural machinery that ground all night.
