Today was the overflow bike race up the mountain, so once again we prepped the car and food, and went to bed early. Audrey didn’t want to take the Volvo because she doesn’t like the rattling noise it makes going over a bump, but it’s in better shape than the van. But she declared she […]
It is really an interesting scene to live at the end of the Cabot Parade route. People started showing up at 10 and kept coming for an hour. They blew the fire siren once for the start of the parade. Steph and I were cleaning house and working, the girls were off playing and Errol […]
When we took Kay to the airport I drove around Hardwick to show her Emily’s house on Church St. Then I drove up the hill to see Toni’s house. On the way I saw another place for sale with a huge yellow sign ‘highly motivated seller’. I wrote down the number. We called him last […]
But the funny story is about Errol. We were at this house checking it out and Errol went outside. 10 minutes later he comes running in, “Daddy, daddy! Come!” I follow him outside and sitting there at the bottom of the steps is a large plastic wagon. Radio Flyer sized but a Big Plastic Monstrosity. […]
Last time I was on the Mountain, Mr. Cliff gave me four t-shirts and two auto-road passes. Gramma Kay is visiting and one thing we wanted to do was take the kids to the Big Mountain. Today was that day. I brought my video camera from the office to record the trip up the road. […]
I am sitting in the Woodbury Select Board meeting and boy is it exciting! Yawn.
So I decided to test MemoirSite with my iOS device. Somehow it wasn’t playing well with my iPod Touch. Then Stephanie added the Facebook plugin that makes the backend look like Facebook. And that seems to have helped the backend work better.
The iOS test looks good! It is, somehow, a lot better with this Facebookesque plugin than the normal WordPress interface.
While I am not a fan of the Facebook look, the fact that it works better on my iPod is a huge bonus.

Hmm. After the post is published the Permalink area is oversized and runs over the formatting area.
Kay took the girls to Addison County today, so Steph and I took Errol up to Hardwick. We met Jerome there and worked on MemoirSite together. We looked at the welcome page and discussed payment gateways other than PayPal. After he left we had an adventure when our server had to be restarted. Finally we […]
This evening I worked on the Hardwick Select Board and while doing that I went through my union’s meeting minutes and made a list of those meetings that didn’t get approved at subsequent meetings. And then I went to BTV to get mom! She’s here for 10 days. It was great fun. She arrived at […]
Today I put three things for sale on Craigslist – Ooh, I have to go check that email! Some wheel rims and tires. The process of clearing out the old crap we don’t need. And tonight was my union meeting. I am a member of the IATSE stagehands union, local 919. I have been Recording […]
While I was missing the girl’s dance show while Errol was carrying on so, Stephanie was in the dressing room talking to another parent. This conversation resulted in an investor. Prefect timing and everything. So, go Stephanie!
Interesting dream. I was wandering around NYC and came across an independent film crew loading into a hotel for a shoot. I lingered and started talking to one of the crew. They were making a documentary about something. The camera was huge, like an Aaton XTR but three times the size! I marveled that they […]
Today was the second day of the girl’s spring ballet show. Peter and Hildgund came up, Steph was backstage and I had Errol. Tickets were $15, but when I went to pay I was told they were $18 at the door! Well, Errol just wanted to run around the theater, so when the lights went […]
Since yesterday wasn’t enough, today was Hardwick’s Spring Festival Day. It used to have to do with Tulips, back when those were cool, but now we don’t have tulips anymore so it’s just Spring Festival. I was up at 7:30 and at Hardwick by 9. Audrey was with me. I met Kurt and set up […]
Bonnie and I (Robin) had a great shoot day at ORCA in Montpelier. I borrowed some equipment from HCTV in Hardwick and headed down. It took us two hours to set up the studio, we had budgeted one hour. Next time we’ll know, but this was the first time and so there was some learning […]
