The First
It has always been a personal goal to write a poem a day…not necessarily a good poem keep in mind. Poetry uses the little things to enlighten us and open the mind to what is at large in the world and within ourselves. Just a tad cliche…Here we go a poem a day (among other things…) starting 9/10/2012 on Memoirsite.
Summer
Tomatoes knocked down
It never lasts long enough
These days
Sitting on a porch forgotten
I won’t turn around
Kitten lost in the woods
Tears over a dead fish
All of the rocks
We left behind
Dear light in Fall
Lets drink out of the puddles
Dry sage for winter meals
Save the skins for later
I miss you already.
