This Memoir Site is being set up by CARES (Citizens Advocating Responsibility & Equality in Shaftsbury) as a forum for Shaftsbury residents to share their common history with each other. All stories are welcome, whether they are about town history, notorious town characters, groups and their activities, family members, school friends and much more.  Shaftsbury, Vermont, was founded 251 years ago, in 1761, so there are a lot of tales to tell.

We invite anyone to contribute their stories to this collection. MemoireSites is still in it’s design BETA stage, so adding photos and images is not yet possible.  However, be thinking about what you would like to add as soon as that feature is finished.
